It is so lovely hearing people’s best bits and what they are proud of. Luckily, the food is delicious so there are lots of clean plates leaving us packed with energy because we really have been challenged. Today everyone completed their last group activities and loved every minute. We are certainly leaving a piece of our hearts in Wales and know that these memories will stay with us for ever. This is our final blog as we will be seeing you all tomorrow. We can’t wait to tell you about our excellent adventure 🙂
Ha ha the weather doesn’t affect us: we love our stylish waterproofs! Our legs may be aching but our hearts are filled with joy. We are conquering our fears, setting ourselves targets that we thought we’d never achieve and capturing memories that will stay with us forever. Today some of us had a mountain adventure which was an amazing experience. Two groups also had their turn at kayaking and had so much fun! Everyone is looking forward to our last full action-packed day tomorrow. Remember we are only posting snippets of our day to show you all what a fantastic time we are having; there will be loads more pictures for you to enjoy on the picture CD 🙂
What an amazing day! We’ve rock climbed and abseiled back down, tested our nerve on the zip wire, conquered the ropes course and hit a few bull’s-eyes during archery! We’ve had so much fun and we still can’t believe how amazing our beautiful surroundings are. It’s great hearing about what each group has been doing and it makes us even more excited about our turn. We are amazing our teachers with our determination, stamina and exemplary behaviour all with a huge smile on our faces.
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the Gold Kitemark for the Your School Games. This is the highest level it is possible to achieve, and it our second year at this level. This gold level was awarded for our involvement in a range of sports across all age groups.
Thank you and well done to all the children who have taken part in the various events over the last year. A very big thank you to all school staff for all their hard work in achieving this award for the school.
Following a well deserved lunch – with home made flap jacks – we split into 3 groups ready for our next adventure. With great determination, two groups managed to climb a mountain and the third navigated ropes and a zip-wire. These activities were even more memorable because of the breath-taking scenery surrounding us. All in all an amazing day!
What a glorious day we’ve had! After a delicious breakfast, we really got to explore the grounds with 2 orienteering challenges. These were hard work but with team work and fantastic map reading skills we all completed the course (apparently this doesn’t always happen!).
