Reception September 2027 Applications - Please note this application process opens on Friday 6th November 2026 and closes on Friday 15th January 2027
For admissions into next year’s Reception, parents and carers are required to complete an application form known as the “Common Application Form” (CAF) through Kent County Council. This can be found by clicking here for the Kent County Council 'Applying for a School' web page which also provides other key information on primary school admissions. Forms should be submitted in accordance with the LA’s published deadlines for applications (normally early to mid-January before the academic year in which the child is eligible for entry).
If your child is due to start primary school in September 2027, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Friday 16 April 2027).
You must submit your appeal before Monday 17 May 2027 for it to be considered by Monday 19 July 2027. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
