For admission into next year’s Nursery, parents and carers are asked to complete an application form which you can download from here or collect in school. Forms should be submitted into the school with a copy of your child’s birth certificate. Forms should be submitted for the September intake by Mid March before the academic year required.
Cecil Road Primary and Nursery School offers 15 hours free childcare places and 30 hours free childcare places. We are also able to offer split hours with the universal offer being used at our Nursery. Please call 01474 534 544 or email office@cecilroad.co.uk if you have any questions.
More information regarding 30 hours is available here
Reception September 2026 Applications - Please note this application process has now closed - If you have not applied and are a Kent resident, email kentonlineadmissions@kent.gov.uk with your child’s name, date of birth and full address. They will then advise you of the next steps.
For admissions into next year’s Reception, parents and carers are required to complete an application form known as the “Common Application Form” (CAF) through Kent County Council. This can be found by clicking here for the Kent County Council 'Applying for a School' web page which also provides other key information on primary school admissions. Forms should be submitted in accordance with the LA’s published deadlines for applications (normally early to mid-January before the academic year in which the child is eligible for entry).
If your child is due to start primary school in September 2026, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Thursday 16 April 2026).
You must submit your appeal before Monday 18 May 2026 for it to be considered by Monday 20 July 2026. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
